Who will have access to my personal medical records or any health information about me?

Under no circumstances will Dartmouth Health Connect or Iora Health share any personal health information with anyone outside of Iora Health without written permission by a patient. Dartmouth Health Connect is owned, operated and managed by Iora Health, an independent, Cambridge, MA-based company who guarantees patient privacy and is subject to abide by federal protections put into place for the protection of personal health information through the 1996 Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Dartmouth Health Connect and Iora Health take your privacy very seriously and we are committed to protect the personal information that you share with us.

Will Dartmouth Health Connect have access to my records at DHMC?

Our physicians and staff will have access to view your electronic medical record at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

How do I transfer my records?

If you would like to have prior medical records sent to us from one or multiple medical providers, please call 603-738-1164 to learn about the process.

Am I charged for lab tests at Dartmouth Health Connect?

There is a lab at Dartmouth Health Connect for your convenience. With this, we are able to perform blood draws and some lab tests onsite and often can do this at no extra charge to our patients (depending on insurance plan). While we are able to result some tests within the practice, if your specimen requires analysis at an outside laboratory, fees can incur based on  your insurance plan. Your care team can help you understand the process prior to doing any tests.

What if my insurance changes?

Currently Dartmouth Health Connect is a benefit for those individuals who receive their health insurance through a partner organization or Medicare. Therefore, we are only able to accept patients who are eligible members of that organization or patients who are enrolled in participating Medicare plans. Should you need to change your insurance plan and become ineligible under the current design, we will help you safely transition your care to a provider who is able to accept your new insurance.

What is your holiday schedule?

Regardless of holidays, we are available in the case of an urgent need at 603.738.1164. Dartmouth Health Connect observes the following holidays and our practice will be closed:

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Presidents Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
